PET imaging for your MRI system

Simultaneous PET/MRI has been shown to provide substantial clinical benefits by combining the complementary strengths of both imaging modalities. However, the high cost of purchasing and installing an integrated PET/MRI scanner remains prohibitive for most healthcare institutions. Although integrated PET/MRI systems have been commercially available since around 2011, their high cost has limited adoption primarily to a relatively small number of academic medical centers.

PETcoil is developing a portable PET scanner that can be placed within an existing MRI scanner, enabling simultaneous PET and MRI imaging without the need to purchase a dedicated integrated PET/MRI system.

Our first product is a portable PET scanner designed for head imaging. It is intended to provide high-quality PET imaging at a fraction of the cost of conventional PET/CT and integrated PET/MRI systems.
